聞說蘋果有意發展透過.Mac 傳送音樂或影片的新服務而引起Burst.com 注意，因為Burst.com 聲稱蘋果侵犯了他們三種技術專利，去年更因而鬧上法庭，兩家公司最近談判破裂，蘋果決定將事件交由法庭判決，蘋果在聲言中表示：“Burst.com approached Apple claiming that some of our products violate their patents. But we don’t agree. Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to resolve the disagreement with Burst directly. So we’ve asked the court to decide.”
