Hmmm… This seems to have Big ole Steve’s signature all over. Remember the original Mac testdrive plan? That one tanked so hard that it hurts. While consumer preferences and spending habits are much different between then and now, I guess Apple does not want to get a whole warehouse full of used Mac minis, should this plan failed.
After all, is Apple that confident that people will switch permanently after trying on a Mac? The management might be having second thoughts.
