App store 拒賣放屁軟件

早前有則個人認為十分奇離的新聞，話說有位開發者寫了一個純粹娛樂的軟件Pull My Finger [youtube link] 打算放到app store 上賣，可惜他得到這樣的回覆：

Hello Developer,

We’ve reviewed your application Pull My Finger. We have determined that this application is of limited utility to the broad iPhone and iPod touch user community, and will not be published to the App Store.

It may be very appropriate to share with friends and family, and we recommend you review the Ad Hoc method on the Distribution tab of the iPhone Developer Portal for details on distributing this application among a small group of people of your choosing.

蘋果以~~「無法擴充iPod / iPhone 用戶群」~~ 「此軟件對於廣大 iPhone 及 iPod touch 用戶並無太大用處」(感謝讀者Lawrence 指正) 為由拒絕發售軟件有點問題，一個軟件只要合法，合乎SDK guidelines，軟件的屬性應不是蘋果考慮之列，若果我是開發者，我會以軟件有助「促盡世界和平及人類友誼」作理由抗辯。

我寫過一個計 HKID Number 的 app，也收到一封近乎一模一樣的信。

Hello,

We’ve reviewed your application HKID. We have determined that this application is of limited utility to the broad iPhone and iPod touch user community, and will not be published to the App Store.

If you choose to provide additional features that utilize iPhone functionality, or explain in your Application Description how this would be utilized, your application can be reconsidered for the App Store after you resubmit a new binary to iTunes Connect.

The current version of HKID may be very appropriate to share with friends and family, and we recommend you review the Ad Hoc method on the Distribution tab of the iPhone Developer Portal for details on distributing this application among a small group of people of your choosing.

這句話的意思不是說「無法擴充iPod / iPhone 用戶群」，而是說「此軟件對於廣大 iPhone 及 iPod touch 用戶並無太大用處」。

贊同Lawrence的翻譯!
明顯這只是一個藉口，我想 censorship 才是真正的原因。
Apple 可能認為”Pull my finger”有點低俗。

有關HKID, 係唔係教人點計身份證括號內的數字? 如果係就唔關犯法事啦, 因為小學時有本數學書都有教(80年代)

個 app 可以入個 HKID 做 validation, 又可以 random generate 一個 HKID number.
其實係 random 頭七個字，再計括弧入面個字。

中學會考果陣本電腦書都有教，同一條式 wikipedia 都有。

我有問題關於itunes/itunes store

剛買mac時申請試用過dot mac service, 但試用期後就無繼續用

而家想玩下itunes 0既Genius, 但要申請一個Apple ID
但我用番果個email申請, 佢話呢個email已經被人申請過
不過我試過所有password都唔得
retrieve password又唔成功
請問可以點處理?

如果要用回舊account，要開番dotmac 來用，建議開新account。
