雜誌風暴之PC World總編輯下台實錄

未經證實的消息，但可作為「雜誌風暴」收看。
據Wired Blog透露，IDG旗下的PC World雜誌的總編Harry McCracken剛剛下台。有內幕消息指，原因是剛剛由Macworld雜誌轉職PC World雜誌的新任CEO Colin Crawford不喜歡由Harry編輯的文章”Ten Things We Hate About Apple”，要求停寫，Harry不甘受屈，辭職了事。消息指，Colin在MacWorld工作期間和Steve Jobs有私交，當Macworld寫了一些蘋果相關的文章，如Steve Jobs發現有問題會親自致電「修理」他。而那篇”Ten Things We Hate About Apple”，有大量內容是取笑Steve Jobs的。

You don’t bite the hand that feeds you, especially when the hand belongs to Steve Jobs who can turn out to be very hazardous to your job.
So much so for editorial independence.
IDG president Robert Carrigan likes a strong backbone.
Quitter Harry McCracken is back into the fold as editor in chief for PCW. Meanwhile now ex-CEO, Colin Crawford got bitch slapped back to IDG management where he once belonged and can’t mess with editorial independence.
Journalism is safe for now.
