調查：iMac G5的確易壞

早前我們報道過有評論指蘋果應回收iMac G5。Macintouch進行了一次iMac G5用戶調查，發現iMac G5第一代（Rev. A）的壞機比率奇高，其中20吋第一代iMac G5壞機率達到31%，比蘋果整體的12%壞機比率統計學上有明顯差別。
在本地的論壇也常有聽說iMac G5易壞，多數是爆Cap或壞LCD。有人拿iMac G5到香港的Case維修中心，可是等個幾月都沒有零件修理。壞機，加上維修中心不佳的Logistic，可說是最差勁的組合，如果是「搵食機」甚至可能影響生計。擁有iMac G5（由其是第一代）的朋友，一年過去後記得續保AppleCare！

IMHO, joining APP the earlier the better since Apple no longer provide on site service for those without APP protection even if within the first year of purchase (they regard this a chargeable service). However, onsite maintenance for desktop machine is covered by APP in the first three years of purchase.
